 GMC FAMILY REUNION 2006

6th GMCANA Awards function

President’s Perspective:

 

                                      Recently, we had GMC FAMILY REUNION 2006 at Günter Medical college in Jan ’06.I would like to share some of the highlights of this meeting with you.

                                       As all of you know that we have resumed the annual college day function after a lapse of many years. The student body is very appreciative and looking forward to the celebrations annually in the GMCANA auditorium. The students were extremely talented and presented a well-rounded program. They will be able to take this Camaraderie and pleasant memories with them into future as all of us did during our college days. GMCANA auditorium has provided the impetus to include cultural activities and sports as part of the education.

                                      We have also started a GMC GGH TEACHING STAFF DINNER this year. The GMCANA attendees and the teaching staff were able to exchange the ideas regarding the projects that are completed as well as future projects. This program has provided an excellent opportunity for close interaction with the faculty and helped to understand the necessity for some of the future projects to make GMC and GGH a better teaching institution. Our coordinators at GGH made this program a success with their efforts particularly Dr.I V Renuka who was instrumental in its organization.

                                        GMCANA annual awards were distributed during GMCOSA FUNCTION following the college day. GMC alumni including our treasurer Dr. Chundu Koteswara Rao presented excellent CME lectures .We extend our congratulations to the newly elected GMCOSA executive committee; Dr. Gopichand Mannam as president and Dr.V. Balabhaskara Rao and Dr.YVS.Prabhakar as secretaries and Dr.P V Hanumantha Rao as treasurer and we are looking forward to working with them in establishing one GMC family.
